Hi, I've been making video games for professional projects, game jams, and as a hobbyist for years, and I'm looking for a job where I can do what I love for a living!
My degree and most of my work experience is actually as a mechanical engineer. However, I discovered my true passion is game development. I learned this after spending a couple years making an FPS game in Dreams on PS4 and PS5. Dreams is a user-generated content game where anyone can make games and publish them for other people to play. The tools in the game are advanced enough that you can make virtually any kind of game you want. It was a blast for me to spend so much time and effort building an experience that other people around the world enjoy playing. So far it's been played by over 5000 other players and got a "Media Molecule Pick" award from the developers.
Since then, I've spent the last few years creating games with indie game company Web Trench Studios, one of which has a playable demo on Steam. I also recently completed RealXP Lab's summer externship program where 8 other externs and I worked with indie developer Serenity Forge to develop a prototype mountain biking horror game. Lastly, I have a ton of experience creating game jam submissions and pet projects to help me perfect my craft. I've mostly worked with Unity so far, but I'm a quick learner, so I can easily learn other necessary tools.
You can read more about my work on the projects pages.
I think my experience as a mechanical engineer helps me as a game developer as well because it gave me a strong understanding of math, physics, and 3D modeling.
Please see my itch.io page and resume below. Feel free to contact me.
My itch.io page includes game jam entries I made solo and as part of a team. The Bounce Quest entry won the game jam with the themes: multiple ways, and making and changing the rules.
